Run Calgary is teaming up again with Calgary Pride to deliver a safe and inclusive event experience before the Pride Parade on September 1, 2024 at 10:30am. Run or walk the parade route (in reverse!) in advance of the parade commencement, then join the start of the parade! You will compete against others in heats based on your predicted finish time.
Race In-Person Sunday September 1, 2024
Enjoy the excitement and buzz of parade morning and run on closed downtown Calgary streets. After completing the Love is Love Mile, participants are invited to join the Pride Parade and walk alongside the Run Calgary float! The parade will pass right by our finish area, making it super convenient to join in. Like all Run Calgary events, this is an inclusive event and everyone is welcome.
Through fundraising for Calgary Pride and making fitness more accessible to the LGBTQ2S+ community, the Love is Love Mile is proud to bring two exceptional communities together.

The registration fees we collect are used to cover the operational cost of the event, and not considered a donation! This is why it's important to us that we also promote these fundraising opportunities, in order to help local charities reach their fundraising goals!

- Finish the race and then join us to watch the parade in the designated Run Calgary zone

Refund Policy
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- All registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds, transfers, medical comps or deferrals under any circumstances. Selling your race bib, or having another person use your bib in the event is strictly prohibited. This act may seem well intentioned but has many negative implications to the organizers and participants including liability, timing, results, awards and many other factors. If a registrant sells or gives away their race bib to another participant, they will not be allowed to participate in future events.
- Protect your purchase by enrolling in the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program. Participants that enroll in the refund program will be refunded if they are unable to attend due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, such as injury & illness, COVID-19, severe weather, work travel conflict, layoffs/termination or mechanical breakdown. GST and Processing Fees
Please note that each participant will be charged a processing fee plus 5% GST, in addition to the race entry fee.
Shipping and products are subject to 5% GST.
Virtual Race Information
Run your race, your pace.... any time and any place!
Purchase your registration and select to collect your swag in-person at Package Pick-up or to have it mailed to you. Run your race anywhere and anytime during Pride Week (Sept 1 - 8, 2024).
We encourage registered participants to track their run using RunKeeper, where your results will automatically sync with your Race Roster account and load right onto the Love is Love Mile leaderboard. Alternatively, screen capture any fitness app or watch (Garmin, Fitbit etc.) and manually upload your time.
All registered participants will receive detailed instructions for completing their virtual race, prior to the start of the race period.
