Mental Health Matters!

The very first Charlotte mental health 5K, Kids Dash & Community event and party is May 19th, 2024 at McAlpine Creek Park. Mental Health Matters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in NC that aims to create awareness  as well as reduce stigma associated with mental health. Funds will go towards the community post-race event/festival. 
Remaining funds will be donated to national organizations with local chapters doing larger scale work within the local community: Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA), American Foundation for Suicide Prevention NC, (AFSP), National Alliance on Mental Illness Charlotte (NAMI). Donated goods will go towards creating top finisher prizes for the 5K, there will be baskets made of locally curated goods/products from local CLT small businesses as MHM also likes to support local and small businesses in CLT. All businesses donating will be listed as event sponsors, thank you for your support!
