WHAT?
This year the Essex Centurion will take the form of a Grand Départ Ride which everyone starts at the same place & time. There are two ride options: a 100-minute Slow Roll (about 27k) or a 100k Metric Century Ride.
WHY?
Ride with two-time Olympian cyclist Kelly-Ann Way (link) of Windsor-Essex to celebrate her induction into the Canadian Cycling Hall of Fame
Ride to support a great organization. Net proceeds of the ride and donations will go to Leadership Advancement For Women And Sport (LAWS) (link)
Ride to inspire others and to support female cycling
Ride to discover new routes and for fitness & FUN!
WHO?
Everyone is welcome. Cycling is often a male dominated sport. We're striving for equal male & female participation! June 16th is Father's Day, so we hope fathers & daughters might ride together.
