Help us raise money

For participating in The 2024 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Our story…

One Summit’s mission is to build resilience and facilitate growth in pediatric cancer patients and their siblings through experiential learning, mentorship, community engagement, and storytelling with U.S. Navy SEALs.

The psychological stress of having cancer affects a person's overall health and ability to cope with the disease. It is an overwhelming and isolating experience for anyone to hear, "You have cancer," especially so as a child. The cancer diagnosis impacts and disrupts the entire family. Founded in Boston by Adam La Reau, a former Navy SEAL, One Summit (OS) helps pediatric cancer patients, and their families build the skills necessary to face the emotional distress of their cancer journey, inspire hope, and empower a never-give-up mindset through our program, Climb for Courage.

At Climb for Courage, children are matched individually with a US Navy SEAL. Through a safe and controlled indoor rock-climbing environment, the Navy SEALs induce individual challenges that allow the children to grow through teamwork, problem-solving, and overcoming adversity. Climb for Courage, coupled with the long-lasting friendship formed with their Navy SEAL, provides each child with additional strength and encouragement to fight cancer. Our mission is reinforced through a Community Engagement Program and an innovative Storytelling initiative to help build connection and resilience through shared experiences.
