Camp Carter Easter 5k Trail Run

And 1k Kids' Fun Run, Easter Egg Hunt, and Pup Run

  • When and where does Packet Pick-Up take place?
    • Packet Pick-Up will be at YMCA Camp Carter on Friday, March 29th, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. and beginning at 7:00am on race day at YMCA Camp Carter.
  • Can someone else pick up my packet?
    • Yes, someone else can pick up your packet. They will need to provide the participant's name or QR Code for identification.
  • Where do I park when I get to the YMCA Camp Carter 5K Trail Run?
    • Event volunteers will guide participants to the designated parking areas upon entering the YMCA Camp Carter gates.
  • Do I get a finisher medal for completing the 5K?
    • Yes, the first 150 registered finishers of the 5K will receive a finisher medal.
  • Do you have age group awards?
    • Yes, we will present male and female age group awards in the following categories:
    • 0-12
    • 13-19
    • 20-29
    • 30-39
    • 40-49
    • 50-59
    • 60-69
    • 70 & Up
  • What events/distances are offered for the YMCA Camp Carter 5K Trail Run?
    • This year's event includes a 5K trail run, with or without a pup, and a 1K Youth Run for children aged 12 and under.
  • What are the start times?
    • The start times are as follows:
      • 9:00am - Easter Egg Hunt
      • 9:30am - 1K Kids' Fun Run
      • 9:45am - 5k Trail Run
      • 10:00am - 5k Trail Run with Pups
  • Can I walk the 5K course?
    • Yes, walkers are welcome to participate. All walkers must start at the back of the starting coral.
  • Are runners timed?
    • 5k Trail Runners without pups will be timed. All times will be posted on this site after the run.
  • Will food and water be available at the YMCA Camp Carter 5K Trail Run?
    • Post-race, water and fruit will be available for participants.
  • What if it rains or snows? Will you still have the YMCA Camp Carter 5K Trail Run?
    • The YMCA Camp Carter Trail Run should go forward rain or shine, but if conditions are deemed by YMCA Camp Carter to be too dangerous to safely operate the run, that decision will be communicated to all registered runners as soon as possible.
  • When does the course close?
    • The course will close at 12:00pm.

  • What happens to the proceeds from the YMCA Camp Carter 5K?
    • YMCA Camp Carter’s mission is to provide all children the opportunity to experience camp. Proceeds from the YMCA Camp Carter 5k Trail Run will go towards YMCA Camp Carter’s scholarship programs, which include income-based and military scholarships. You can also make a donation to support this cause at https://ymcacampcarter.org/donate.
  • How else can I support YMCA Camp Carter?
  • Are there cabins available for me to stay in the night before the race?
    • Yes, there is limited cabin space available. Contact rsicard@ymcafw.org for availability and pricing.
  • How can I get involved at YMCA Camp Carter?
