Countdown to event
Join us on June 29, 2024, for the 11th Annual HBCUs Run the District 5K Run/Walk and Community Day brought to you by the Washington DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance, Inc. and sponsored by Alfred Street Baptist Church. We are excited to host this event in conjunction with HBCU CONNECT's 25th Anniversary Celebration.
Washington, DC, serves as the backdrop to this EPIC event. But no worries, if you cannot join us in person, virtual options are available!
Our in-person event will take place at Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals! Nationals Park is accessible by metro with parking options available.
If you chose the virtual option, the 5K run/walk can be held from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on a road, a trail, a treadmill at the gym, or on a track. You can run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself.

HBCU CONNECT Partnership
The DCHBCUAA has partnered with HBCU CONNECT to celebrate their diversity recruitment contributions over the past 25 years. HBCU CONNECT is the largest network of students, alumni and supporters of Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs). To commemorate their 25th anniversary, HBCU Connect we will be presenting several personal and professional development activities for over 3,000 attendees who attended and/or support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). While the event will be very attractive and in proximity to HBCU supporters in Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC (collectively, home to 11 HBCUs), marketing efforts will include all HBCU graduates and students nationwide.
