4 & 6 Hour Mountain Bike Race

Welcome to the McDonald's Ashburton 4 & 6 Hour Mountain Bike Race hosted by Mountain Bike Ashburton. A 4 or 6 Hour MTB race on the Mountain Bike Ashburton River Trail, consisting of an approx 8.5k loop including the event village. You can ride it solo or in a relay team (pairs in the 4hr race or 2-4 in the 6hr race). eBikes are welcome in the 4hour event only.
A great family friendly atmosphere, feel the buzz as you ride through our village. Enjoy some optional hard lines that are part of our purpose built singletrack. An approx 10k loop including the event village.
These two events have stepped it up this year, with 3 trophies up for grabs for the winning teams in the Corporate Challenge, School Challenge Yr 7-8 & School Challenge Yr 9-13 events. Be the first place team in each category and your name will be engraved on the trophy. Letting you take bragging rights for 12months till the next event.

The Coffee Shot Coffee Cart will be available
St Joseph's Home & School will run a BBQ from 11am till 2pm on the day with cold drinks. Profits from the BBQ will be split between St Joseph's School & Ronald McDonald House. All BBQ supplies kindly donated.
In conjunction with Ronald McDonald House we are also holding a food drive and encourage people to participate in this initive or you are welcome to mark a monetary donation.
