Get Ready for YMCA Northumberland's Rainbow Run, where every step counts and every colour matters!

Join us for the YMCA Northumberland's Rainbow Run, a community and family-oriented celebration of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and its allies, in a welcoming atmosphere that also will be raising funds for the Y’s charitable activities.
So, lace up your sneakers and choose between a 2.5 km or 5 km walk or run – either way, it’s all about spreading love, acceptance, well-being and some of that rainbow magic. This event celebrates inclusion, diversity, and healthy living during Pride and Indigenous month, while raising funds to support our community’s wellness.
We warmly invite all individuals to participate and join the fun.
Online Registration is closed but come down to the Yacht Club to register in person. It is just $15 per person** (kiddos 12 and under get to tag along for free), and you can enjoy this colourful adventure by the waterfront and through downtown Cobourg.
Snazzy and colourful Commemorative Event T-shirts ($20)* can be purchased with your registration. Rainbow swag will be available for purchase on the day of.
In support of the YMCA Northumberland’s invaluable initiatives, participants are encouraged to seek donations from family and friends for their Rainbow Run. If you rally $50 or more in donations, you will receive a complimentary Event T-shirt to show your pride!
But wait, there’s more! As a token of accomplishment, the first 300 registered participants to cross the rainbow finish line will snag themselves a shiny finisher medal.
We encourage all attendees to embrace the festive spirit and dress up! Let's paint the town with our vibrant hues and celebrate the colours of the rainbow by dressing up in your most vivid and multi-toned outfits! 🎨🌈
So, come one, come all! We can’t wait to spread love and paint the town in a multicoloured rainbow at this epic family and community extravaganza!
Furry friends and strollers are also welcome.

Important Safety Note
For the safety of all participants, we strongly recommend against wearing iPods or similar audio devices that inhibit your ability to hear surrounding sounds. This is a danger to fellow participants and yourself if you cannot hear direction from a race official, event participant, or emergency vehicles.

YMCA Northumberland Course
The course is a 2.5Km course. Participants can walk or run the course.
A 5Km option is available to participants. Participants would do the course 2 times.
9:30 am start. Closures from 8:30 until 11:00 am.
Participants start at the Cobourg Yacht club, 100 Hibernia St, Cobourg, ON K9A 3J8. Head west towards the boardwalk.
M1— Hibernia St. and boardwalk. (participants go south towards boat storage and then do a U-turn heading north on Hibernia St.)
M2— Hibernia St and Orr Street
M3— Orr Street and Durham Street
M4— Durham Street and Sydenham Street
M5— Sydenham Street and Bagot Street
M6— Bagot Street and Albert Street
M7— Albert Street and Durham Street
Participants head back to M3, then to M2, then north to M8
M8— Hibernia Street and Albert Street

Parking
Parking:
Be advised that road closures are in effect as of 7:00 a.m.
After 7 am you can avoid the road closure and still get to the parking at the Harbour if you access it by driving south on Ontario Street, turn left onto Albert St, right on Hibernia St, and left onto Third Street. Remember it is paid parking from 9 am - 8 pm.
To access parking south of King Street travel south on Division Street. We encourage you to arrive early to find parking and to avoid traffic congestion due to run road closures. Carpool where possible.
There are many options for parking near the run starting line located at the Marina and along the waterfront. Waterfront parking, on-street and in waterfront parking lots, is enforced from 9am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday, holidays included, with the exception of the East Beach Parking Area, which is enforced from 9am to 4pm.. The following lots are included in Waterfront Parking:

- Charles Street Lot
- The Esplanade Lots (East and West)
- Albert Street Lot
On street and downtown lot PAID parking is available in Downtown Cobourg. The Town of Cobourg offers two (2) hours free parking in the following downtown municipal lots a short walk to the starting line at the Cobourg Marina:
