Registration is available in-person during packet pick-up on Friday, 9/13/24, between 12-7 pm or between 7-7:30 am on Race Day, 9/14/24 for the 5K, and before 9:30 am for the 1-Mi Color Run.

Break the stigma associated with youth mental health illness at the Annual Run for the Mind 5K.

This highly anticipated event will be held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois. One of the most important components in breaking the stigma associated with mental illness is ensuring that no person feels alone. For this reason and many more, NAMI DuPage is hosting this vital fundraiser in our region. We hope you will also demonstrate your commitment to ending the stigma by joining us as a participant.

Enjoy a flat, paved, winding course through the scenic natural areas around the DuPage County Fairgrounds and the DuPage County Government Center. The 5K route is USATF certified.

A commemorative t-shirt will be provided to 5K Race participants. Please register by August 23, 2024 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

NAMI DuPage is partnering with Serenity House and the Prevention Leadership Team for a 1-mile Color Run! A commemorative t-shirt will be provided to participants!

A post-race breakfast is provided for all participants, and breakfast is available for a donation for race spectators. Light refreshments will be available at the post-race recovery area.

In the event of inclement and/or severe weather, this event will be canceled,
and there will not be a rain date.
No refunds, no exchanges.

General Information

Race Timing

We use disposable chip timing tags that runners receive at packet pick-up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib.

Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered; holding it or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip. Smartwatches such as Garmin and smartphones can interfere with the timing chip frequency. Please do not adjust your watch or phone as you cross the finish line and come through the chute. Disputes for times on Smart watches and smartphones will not be considered.

For participants that are walking or riding in a stroller/wheelchair, for your safety, please line up towards the back of the group.
