International Conservation Fund of Canada

The International Conservation Fund of Canada is active across Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Addressing the biodiversity and climate crises, ICFC focuses its conservation and restoration efforts on the tropics and other biodiversity-rich priority areas where nature is under severe threat and where conservation funding is notably scarce. 

Since its founding in 2007, ICFC has funded over 70 projects in 37 countries, investing more than $65 million to support local organizations. We are committed to the long-term success of each project. This entails long-term monitoring of ongoing and past projects, efforts to help our field partners develop sustainable revenue streams that support their work, and helping them to leverage our financial support to secure funding from other sources. We have also set up several land trusts to ensure the long-term viability of private reserves. 

ICFC’s project areas cover 17.5 million hectares, home to 431 threatened species – and these are just the ones we know about! Thank you for your support. We could not do this important work without you!
