My Story…
Friends, Family and Community -- It is my pleasure again to be the chairman of the 10th Annual Dashing through the Square 5K Run/Walk that will be held on December 20, 2025 at the Historic Marietta Square. This family friendly event is the PEARL Foundation's Signature Fundraiser in collaboration with the Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (Marietta/Cobb Chapter). I have been an active member of Rho Zeta Omega for 30 years. The proceeds from this event sponsors a variety of programs such as the Childhood Hunger Initiative Powe pack (CHIPP) program that provides healthy food items to students in need. Last year we were able to award over $65,000 in scholarships for college to outstanding students from Cobb County/Marietta high schools. This year this race celebrates its 10th year. I would love for you to participate as a walker or runner but if that is not an option, I would appreciate any donation. Donations to The PEARL Foundation, Inc are tax deductible.
