Skyhawks State Games

We are thrilled to welcome you as a volunteer for our upcoming Skyhawks State Games, which will take place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at Shiloh Christian School - Miller Field. Your commitment to helping us make a difference is invaluable.

By focusing on these goals, an elementary track and field meet can contribute positively to children's development and the broader community:

• Promote Health and Fitness: Encourage children to engage in regular physical activity, fostering a lifelong appreciation for fitness, improving their physical health, and enhancing their motor skills through a variety of track and field events.
• Build Community Service: Involve students in community-oriented activities, to instill a sense of responsibility and connection to their community.
• Encourage Family Involvement: Offer family-oriented activities and entertainment, making the event a memorable experience that strengthens family bonds and community ties.
• Foster Personal Development: Help children develop self-esteem, resilience, and goal-setting skills through personal achievements in athletics, emphasizing the importance of effort and improvement over mere competition.
• Cultivate Inclusivity and Sportsmanship: Promote an inclusive environment where all students, regardless of skill level, feel welcome to participate, encouraging respect, teamwork, and fair play.

Below are some details to help you prepare for the event:

• Arrival Time: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled slot for check-in and orientation.
• Dress Code: Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes, as you may be on your feet for some time. You will be provided a volunteer t-shirt, please wear it!
• What to Bring: Bring a refillable water bottle, any personal items you may need, and a friendly smile!
• Role Responsibilities: You will be assigned specific tasks at the event. We will provide training and support to ensure you feel comfortable in your role.

The event will not only be a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community but also a chance to connect with like-minded individuals.
