Special Olympics New York provides inclusive opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to discover and unleash the champion within. Our athletes experience the thrill of competing in authentic sports. They overcome defeat, taste victory and stay active for life.
Turf Wars 2025 sets a fundraising goal of $10,000 for Special Olympics New York, the official non-profit partner of the event. Competitors are encouraged to create individual or team fundraising pages to raise money for the organization throughout the training season and up to competition day. Special Olympics Athletes will join the competition field at the end of the day for an impressive display of athleticism & camaraderie – don’t miss it!
Special Olympics New York provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The top 3 fundraisers will receive a complimentary 50, 35, and 20 pack of Tone House classes!
