Ways to Help Our Cause
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms. Although less common, it can affect men too. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCADaddle 5K
Join us by registering for the SCADaddle 5K!
Our 5K trail Fun Run/Walk takes place at Battle Creek Regional Park on winding trails through natural areas that offer a spectacular look at Ramsey County's diverse landscape.
This event has a community feel with kid's activities and a playground all while shopping the vendors including our SCAD store and enjoying some race snacks. We will also have a brief welcome announcing our sponsors, supporters and survivors!
Race bibs will be given out for fun and runners & walkers will be awarded a medal.
Register by April 25th to guarantee this year's t-shirt!

6:30-7:30am - Set up all things race!
Additional Needs:
Photographer(s) - someone to capture all the fun! We need a photographer for the reunion on Friday evening and someone for the race. You can photograph one of the events or both of them.

Join other SCAD Survivors, their supporters, and Angel Families for a night to meet, eat and learn! An adult dinner and kids' meal will be included in the Reunion final cost! Adults $45, Kids $20. Enjoying the CASH only bar while shopping our SCAD store and mingling with other SCAD survivors! Hear SCAD updates and information along with time for you to introduce yourself and share your SCAD story!
We have a large area so feel free to invite those who have supported you along the way! Let’s make this a night of reunion and celebration!
- 5:00 pm - Reunion start time along with early 5K packet pickup for reunion guests!
- 6:00 pm - Dinner will be served - welcoming remarks, introductions and updates from our very own Mayo Doctor Tweet and Doctor Best!
