Queer Intersections

Raise money for Queer Intersections

Founded in March 2023, Queer Intersections (QX) is a registered Canadian charity that provides a safe and inclusive place for the 2SLGBTQIA+ / Rainbow community. We strive to educate the community on 2SLGBTQIA+ topics while maintaining a positive relationship with the community. Our focus includes but is not limited to the promotion of wellness, expression and exploration for individuals across the lifespan from youth to seniors in the 2SLGBTQIA+ / Rainbow community.

QX officially opened the doors to our first physical space in November 2024 at 171 Queens Ave, Unit 420, in the heart of downtown London. This fully accessible community center serves as a vital hub for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, offering sober social programming that fosters connection and belonging. Our programming includes a food pantry, a gender-affirming clothing closet, peer support groups, Rainbow Families & Tots, the Golden Group (ages 55+), hiking, craft and book clubs, bike repair workshops, and more. All of our programs are run by our small but mighty team of volunteer board members or in partnership with community volunteers.

As we continue to grow, we are committed to expanding our services to better meet the needs of our community. A key goal is to provide honorariums for facilitators and trained professionals who help run our programs, ensuring sustainable, informed, and safe offerings.

This is where you come in!

100% of the funds raised through registration and fundraising for the run will go directly to covering event costs, with all remaining proceeds supporting QX. These funds will help us pay for things like rent, keeping our doors open and our programs free. They will also allow us to provide honorariums to facilitators (outside of our board of directors) and bring in additional trained professionals to support our community. Lastly, funds will be used to stock our food pantry with culturally appropriate and diverse food options and purchase materials for our existing programs.
