About Dr. May
Dr. Terry May is a local emergency department physician with the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, a husband and a father of three young adult children.
In August of 2024 he was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare bile duct cancer. It was fatique on his regular runs that was one of the first indicators that something wasn't quite right.
Running has always been a part of Terry's life, and an important part of his maintaining good physical and mental health. It only seemed fitting to organize a run/walk in his hometown of Lakefield to bring awareness to Cholangiocarcinoma and to raise funds for the Canadian Cholangiocarcinoma Collaborative (C3).
