The Hekkla at Rosseau Lake College is a tradition that dates back to the school's establishment in 1967.

There are two ways you can participate:

Join us in person on April 25 to run with students, faculty, parents, friends, and alumni. Run or cycle the traditional Hekkla route beginning at the Cardwell Community Centre in Hekkla, Ontario, at 10:30 am. Complete the entire course, or register to complete the Hekkla Half, which is new this year.

Join or mount a Hekklette. These sister events replicate the spirit, challenge, and camaraderie of the Hekkla, across Canada and around the world. This can be done on the same day as the Hekkla, or at any time that is convenient.

Proceeds from the event, as well as donations around the event, are used to develop and maintain the Robert Carreau Memorial Trail on the RLC campus.

Hekkla in person @ RLC Closed

Run the traditional 17 km Hekkla with our students and staff beginning at the Cardwell Community Centre in Hekkla, ON at 10:30 am.

Participate in the spirit of the Hekkla from anywhere in the world with a 5km or 17km run or a 28 km cycle on your own or with fellow alumni and friends
