Whangarei Run/Walk Festival

The Whangarei Run/Walk Festival offers a variety of events, including a 21.1km Half Marathon, an 8.5km run/walk, and a 4km fun run/walk, all part of the Sport Northland Run/Walk Series.

This year’s Half Marathon showcases stunning harbour and coastal views, the Town Basin Sculpture Garden, Te Matau A Pohe Bridge, and the Kotuitui Whitinga Footbridge. With drink stations every 3km and entertainment along the route, it's an event not to be missed.

For those seeking a shorter challenge, the 8.5km and 4km run/walks provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Hatea Loop, a favorite of participants.
