Friends and Family:

We are honored to enter our 8th year participating as Team Aversa for the Griffin Hospital 5k Run/Walk. Each year is a new opportunity to log miles with our dear friends and family and fundraiser for The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.

Every September, we fundraise for our fearless hero, the late Dr. John M. Aversa, Sr. He had the opportunity to join us for the Griffin 5k in 2018 and loved the mix of philanthropy, friends and fresh air. Since his passing in 2019, we vowed to continue attending the Griffin 5k event, as a way to honor his legacy.

If you have joined us for the 5k in the past, we would be delighted to see you again! If you have not joined us before, we invite you with open arms. Nothing beats the energy of the participants on “race day”. 

If you cannot attend, we would be honored if you would consider donating to Team Aversa. Your donation directly benefits The Center for Cancer Care patients. 

Whether you know him as a friend, family member, physician or mentor, it is obvious that he continues to impact our community, and we are touched by how many have chosen to donate or participate as a way to give back to our father.
