5th Annual Back the Blue 5k

Honor all the brave men and women in law enforcement. This is a fundraising race!

OCTOBER 18, 2025 in Deer Park, Texas

Join the Deer Park and La Porte, Texas communities and come run/walk the 5k (3.1miles). You do not have to be law enforcement to participate!

PLEASE READ:

1. There will be no day-of race registrations! You must register 1159pm cst on Friday, October 17th!

1a. First 300 registrations are chip timed.

1b. First 300 finishers get a race medal.

2. October 1st @ 07:00am cst is the cut-off date to get a shirt. If you register after 07:00am cst on October 1st, you will not receive a race shirt. IF we have leftovers we will sell them at the race.

3. Race registration is final- there are no refunds if the race cancels for weather or a critical incident. We cannot transfer your registration to another person. If for some reason you are unable to make the race, your registration fee is considered a donation to the cause.

4. You do not need to check-in for the race. Have your bib attached on the FRONT of you. Make sure you have YOUR assigned bib number, and not your friend/family member's bib number by mistake.

5. We love our dogs but they are not allowed unless are a registered medical assistance canine. Strollers are welcome. If your child is in a stroller for the entire race, you do not need to register them.

6. Kids under age 12 will receive a discounted rate automatically applied when checking out.

Packet Pickup: Friday, Oct. 17th, 4:00pm-7:00pm, at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center in Deer Park.

**We highly encourage packet pickup on Friday.**

Day of Race: Packets need picked up BY 7:30am, at Jimmy Burke Activity Center.

Runners need to begin lining up at 7:45am. The race route will be printed and available to view on location. Race starts promptly at 8:00am after the National Anthem and prayer.

PARKING: Arrive with plenty of spare time! The roadways will begin shutting down for the race at 7:45am which may prevent your quickest route to park! Plan accordingly. There might be construction in the area this year but that won't stop us from a good time!

*If you registered with a t-shirt and do not pick up your packet by 9am on race day, your shirt will be donated.

Cut off to receive a race shirt with you registration is 07:00am CST on October 1st.

Stay after the race for the main event!! (indoor vendors, silent auction items, BBQ cook off & plates for sale, kids play zone, music, raffles, and more!) 10am-4pm
