1RUN 2024 marked another incredible chapter in the growth of this community-driven event. What started just a few years ago as a small initiative by three Dalhousie students has evolved into a meaningful and growing tradition.
Bringing together participants, families, and supporters united by one shared purpose: to make a difference for those affected by cancer.
In 2024, nearly 100 individuals took part in the run both in person at Shubie Canal Park and virtually, raising $15,000 in support of the QEII Health Sciences Centre’s Patient Assistance Fund. With registration fees, donations, and merchandise sales combined, the event brought in over $18,500 to help ease the financial burden faced by cancer patients during treatment.
We are incredibly grateful to all of those who ran, walked, donated, volunteered, and showed up - your support means everything.
Every year, 1RUN grows not just in numbers, but in meaning. It’s a reflection of the countless people touched by cancer and the powerful impact of coming together for a shared cause. It’s a reminder that behind every bib number is a story.
As we look to this year’s event, we’re building on that energy.
With more support, more participation, and more reasons to run.
Because everyone has their ONE RUN.
