Choose between a 2.5 km or 5 km course along the stunning Orewa Beach, set entirely on the sand at low tide — no roads, no footpaths, just fresh sea air and beautiful views.
Bring your friends, family, and energy for a morning of fitness, fun, and community spirit!
Our hope for this event is to grow and build in the run year on year, to support the development of Orewa College’s brand-new Fitness Centre. Every dollar raised goes directly to the college to help bring this exciting project to life — and to build a lasting annual event for our wider community.

Event Details
Held on the beautiful Orewa Beach, Hibiscus Coast, Auckland - no roads to cross, the event is held at low tide so we have plenty of beach to enjoy.
Start time: 9AM - 45 minutes after low tide
Event safety briefing held at 8.45am on the beach
Registrations open at 7am at the marquee on the reserve near the Surf Club
All entrants must register to take part - race bibs are required to be worn throughout the event, this also holds your timing chip to register your finish time.

You can select Race (competitive/ elite) start group or Fun (here for the vibes and will just pace myself) start group during the entry process

About the Event
The Bayley's Orewa Beach Fun Run has been created by Orewa College for Orewa College. Thank you for your support — all funds raised will go directly back into the school.
On the Day
Opening welcome by the Orewa College Kapa Haka group
First 1000 finishers will receive a finishers medal
After the run, support the college further by visiting the sausage sizzle!

Group Pricing - Run or walk with your friends and family!
Enter as a group of three or more and each participant receives a $10 per person discount. (Minimum of 3 in a group, must be in one transaction, all ages, all distances)
The 2.5km run/walk begins at the finish arch on Orewa Beach
The 2.5km course and the 5km event start at the same time.
If you have selected the ‘Fast wave/ Elite/ Competitive’ start group you will line up at the front of the field and start on the first hooter
If you have selected the ‘Fun wave’ you will start on the second hooter
Head north along the sand until you reach first ‘2.5km turn flag’ which is approximately half way down the beach.
Please stay to the left side of the course at all times.
After turning, continue back past the archway and make your way to the southern end of the beach, where you will reach the final turnaround flag.
From there, head back towards the archway and finish by running/walking through the arch.
At the finish, record your time and collect your finisher’s medal - enjoy a gorgeous day at Orewa Beach!
