In response to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, IBTU scaled operations exponentially, transforming an emergency relief effort into a fully operational disaster hub. This expansion led to IBTU Relief, a dedicated initiative providing rapid response, recovery, and long-term resilience for disaster-impacted communities.
IBTU Relief delivers critical aid, connects survivors to essential services, and strengthens local networks for long-term recovery. Our goal is not just rebuilding, but equipping communities with the tools to withstand future crises. No one should face disaster alone, and through preparedness, partnerships, and direct action, we help communities emerge stronger.
Why IBTU, why now
IBTU is a community-powered relief and recovery organization. We turn partner goods, funding, and volunteers into verified services that stabilize families and help students thrive — from disaster response and immigration aid to on-campus programs and citywide readiness events. We do this through HIPAA-compliant case management, real-time referrals, and partner activations that meet people where they are.
