WHY RACE?

The primary purpose of the 5K Race Against Gender-Based Violence is to raise awareness, foster community engagement, and mobilize support in the fight against gender-based violence. Organized by the Family Planning Association, this event aims to highlight the importance of gender equality, safety, and the protection of human rights, while promoting healthy, respectful relationships. Additionally, the event seeks to increase participation through both physical and virtual engagement, making it accessible to a wider audience.

This powerful 5K fundraiser and virtual challenge race is dedicated to raising awareness and combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We invite you to stand with us - your support can make a difference. Custom medals and t-shirts for all finishers.

● 5K Race: November 29th, 2025, at 7am

● Virtual Challenge: November 25th – December 10th, 2025

● Bishop Anstey High Schools, Port of Spain

● Special Focus: Amplifying awareness during the 16 Days of Activism, with a spotlight on the rising threat of Digital Violence against women and girls

This event is more than a race; it’s a call to action. It’s an opportunity to educate, advocate, and mobilize communities around the urgent issue of GBV. During the 16 Days of Activism, we will host a series of webinars addressing GBV and Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), fostering dialogue and empowering change.
