My Story…
Hey friends! Once again I am running the Pittsburgh half marathon and fundraising for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Pretty much everyone knows that I was diagnosed with this disease in 2019 after feeling like crap for way too long. Some symptoms I get are: numbness and tingling in my legs and feet and one arm/hand, tight muscles, muscle spasms, headaches, fatigue, vertigo, cognitive issues.
It sounds like a lot but really I’m in pretty good shape, I’m so used to it I forget I even have it most days 😹. I have been getting semi annual infusions and annual MRIs since 2020 and my disease hasn’t progressed at all since.
I’m really grateful that I am able to use my body in ways like this and I think that fundraising for the MS society and for those who can’t run is a great way to show my gratitude. I’m also really fortunate to have so many supportive and generous friends and family who always help the cause. Please consider donating even a tiny amount and if there are any question about what the MS society does I am happy to answer them!
