Raise money for Everyday's Heros Foundation
For the past 37 years, the Fondation Héros de tous les jours, an NPO and charitable organization recognized by the Canada Revenue Agency, has primarily supported Victor-Doré and Joseph-Charbonneau, two specialized public schools that provide schooling for physically handicapped students aged 4 to 21 from all over the Greater Montreal. The schools cater for nearly 400 students a year, all of whom have at least one major physical disability, often accompanied by other functional or intellectual deficits. I
n 2023-2024, the students enrolled in the two schools come from some 15 school service centers in the greater metropolitan area. Because of their physical condition, these students require special care, which is provided by on-site health professionals. The Foundation supports the schools by enabling them to purchase adapted equipment and carry out educational, musical, sports and therapeutic projects not covered by government budgets. In this way, the Foundation fills the funding gap, enabling students to develop their motor, social, communication and self-determination skills, among others, through school and extracurricular activities.
