UPDATE 12/31/24:
Hurricane Helene was brutal, and it wrecked our town. Given the intense damage, we’re incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to race in Asheville this March. Our community believes in this event and is working tirelessly in recovery efforts. If you’re looking for a perfectly manicured run where every surface is pristine and predictable, this might not be your race. But if you’re the kind of runner who thrives on resilience, gets fired up by challenges, and loves a little adventure mixed with your miles—then, heck yes, let’s do this!
While the course has been approved by law enforcement, repairs are unpredictable, and the routes could shift. But here’s the deal: your safety is non-negotiable, and we’ll adapt as needed to make sure this race is unforgettable—for all the right reasons. If you’re ready to run in the face of adversity and be a part of Asheville’s comeback story, we can’t wait to see you on the start line!
Both courses are scheduled to start the USATF certification process in February and be certified by the beginning of March, and both courses will be safe for runners and spectators.
Repairs are ongoing in the River Arts District, parks and on the greenways. We are staying up-to-date on these timelines and repairs with the City of Asheville. With that being said, construction and repairs in low-lying, hurricane-impacted areas could mean potential route updates and changes.

Half Marathon Course Map, pending approval: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49113090
Please note: The course time limit is 2:00 PM for all participants.
We encourage the seasoned and first time marathoners (including walkers) alike to take part. Our course, water stations and finish line are only open for 6.5 hours. This requires a 14:53 per mile pace.
Strollers/Dogs: Due to limited space on the Greenway and because the roads utilized will be open to traffic, strollers and dogs will not be permitted for the safety of all participants.
