We are only ten weeks away from the 25th running of the Canadian Death Race! We have a lot to cover, so blow off the last 20 minutes of the work week and strap in - this update goes to 11.

2025 SWAG

We thought long and hard about the swag, and it's so tough to know what to do for such a monumental year. ICYMI you will be getting a long sleeve hooded tech tee instead of a regular shirt. What about the non-shirt swag... ? We usually do things that are highly functional, but in this case, we thought that something more commemorative would be appropriate, so we are giving all the Ultra, Marathon, Relay racers, and Volunteers these custom skull mugs. Good news and bad news: they are super cool but they are only 350ml, so they won't fit a full Folding Mountain Brewing tall boy, so you have to drink a little faster.

The medals are being produced right now, including the Ultramarathon Buckle! Just for the 25th year.

LEG 2 SHUTTLE

I am going to keep repeating this for the next several updates. TA200 (end of leg 1 / start of leg 2) gets extremely congested. DO NOT go there unless you have to. You WILL be turned away this year. Leg 2 Relay runners should take the shuttle bus to the TA. We will keep parking open for support crews only. Spectators will not be allowed onto the access road at all. Everyone is welcome to take the bus. We will have two buses running this year to make it easier for everyone.

CUPLESS RACING + GELS

If you have not raced with us before, we do not have cups at any of our aid stations on the course. That means you need your own cup, flask, bottle, or bladder to fill up. At main transitions, there are cups and bowls, primarily for hot food and drinks.

We also do not offer individually packaged gels. These wrappers get everywhere, even when people are careful. Sun River Honey provides bulk gel for us, so (once again) you need your own container. Or I'll just squeeze some into your mouth. Mmmmm!
