My Story…
My name is Wendy, and I’m running the Beneva Montreal Marathon 10K in support of the MUHC ICU—because they saved my husband’s life.
In April 2020, my husband Howard suffered a near-fatal heart attack. Thanks to the extraordinary care he received—first at the JGH and then at the MUHC ICU for six weeks—he survived. This all happened at the start of the pandemic, and I will never forget the strength and compassion of the medical teams who carried us through.
This run is my way of saying thank you. Every dollar raised will support the ICU that gave us more time together. I hope you’ll join me in giving back.
