Over 3 million Canadians live with serious lung diseases like COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. For many, a lung transplant is the only hope — but donor shortages and surgical risks make it a daunting path.
That’s why we, the Leadership Development Council (LDC), are proud to support Dr. Darcy Wagner through the MUHC Foundation’s Breakthrough Run at the Beneva Marathon. Dr. Wagner, a trailblazing bioengineer at McGill, is growing lung tissue in the Lung Bioengineering and Regeneration Lab — research that could transform respiratory care for millions.
