Our story…
Cancer touches the lives of nearly half of all Canadians, making research into better detection and treatment more important than ever. While traditional tumour biopsies provide valuable information, they offer only a snapshot in time and can be invasive to repeat. Liquid biopsy—using blood or other bodily fluids—offers a safer, minimally invasive way to track how tumours change and respond to treatment over time.
At the Burnier Lab, we study liquid biopsy across several cancer types to better understand tumour evolution and support the development of more personalized, effective cancer care.
Support our team in the upcoming Montreal Marathon as we run to raise awareness and funds for this vital research—every step brings us closer to better care for patients!
