Our story…

Feb 28, 1985 - Dec 20, 2023

Aimee Cox is eternally loved and terribly missed.

Aimee was a vibrant and ambitious 37-year-old new mother when she was diagnosed with stage 4 (metastatic) colon cancer in the fall of 2022. The cancer was aggressive; it had BRAF-V600E gene mutation, which is associated with poor response to chemotherapy and reduced survival outcomes.

She saught help and learned so much, she advocated, and appreciated every day like a gift. She fought hard and shared her journey while exhausting all options. Aimee died at the end of 2023; at 38 years old, newly married to the love of her life, mother to an incredible just-turned-2-year-old; a proud and successful hairstylist, business owner, daughter, sister, wife, aunty, friend, and author.

She was beloved and admired. It's unfair that she is not here with us to run and play, to age, witness, work, try, fail, learn, grow, appreciate, change, and show up.

Long-live Aimee's legacy of colour and light, of fun, cool fashion, big laughs, deep love, and wild ambition.

May we keep running, dancing, living, and growing with Aimee in our hearts.
