My Story…
In June 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer (spread to liver) and was told I was not expected to survive more than 3 years. But after 27 rounds of chemo, 24 rounds of antibody therapy, 7 rounds of HAIP chemo, and 4 surgeries including a liver transplant in Nov/2023 I’m still here almost 4 years later! And showing no evidence of disease. I beat the odds, but I didn’t do it on my own. I had tons of support from family, friends, amazing doctors and nurses, and CCRAN (Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network). Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in Canada, and it is increasingly occurring in the under 50 population. Help me kick colorectal cancer to the curb, to save millions of people from having to experience this horrible disease. Join Team SlackPack and fundraise with us, or please make a donation.
