Volunteer Opportunities at the 2025 Muskoka Marathon
Please help us create an unforgettable race experience for runners and the community by volunteering at the Muskoka Marathon! We have a variety of roles available, each essential to the success of the event:
- Race Kit Pick-Up
- Greet participants and distribute race kits, including bibs.
- Course Marshals & Directional Support
- Stationed at key intersections to guide runners and keep them on course.
- Encourage and ensure runner safety.
- Hydration & Aid Stations
- Hand out water and sports drinks.
- Keep your station clean and stocked to support participants.
- Start/Finish Line Assistance
- Organize runners into proper start corrals.
- Hand out medals and refreshments and guide finishers through the post-race area.
- Hospitality & Post-Race Support
- Oversee food stations or refreshment areas for runners.
- Help with post-race celebrations and awards ceremonies.
- Medical & First Aid Support (Certification Required)
- Assist medical professionals in providing immediate care.
- Monitor runners and respond to any first aid needs.
- Communications & Logistics
- Coordinate updates via phone or two-way radios with event staff.
- Assist with transportation logistics, volunteer coordination, and any on-the-fly changes.
- Environmental & Clean-Up Crew
- Help keep the course and event areas clean.
- Collect and properly dispose of waste, ensuring a safe, tidy venue.
- Photography & Social Media
- Capture memorable moments along the course and at the finish line.
- Contribute to live social media updates and post-race photo sharing.
