My Story…
As part of running the Philadelphia Marathon, I'm raising money for cancer research through the American Association for Cancer Research. Cancer has long been part of my life. Many family members and friends have battled cancer and it has taken too many people too early in their lives.
But there is something we can do. Investing in cancer research has the potential to create new therapies, reduce treatment times, and extend people's lives. However, recent cuts to federal funding have put this research at risk, preventing some of these breakthrough treatments from reaching cancer patients. It is important that we continue to fund research to ensure that we keep making progress against cancer.
