More than 1 in 5 families in Toronto face diaper insecurity. When parents can’t afford diapers, they are forced to make impossible choices between basic needs like food, rent, and baby essentials. 

At Baby Love, we believe that no family should have to make these choices. Our mission is to provide diapers and other critical baby essentials to under-resourced families, ensuring that every baby has a healthy start. 

The Importance of Diapers

Diapers are a basic necessity, yet the cost can be a significant burden for families. Diapers are the fourth highest expenditure for families with young children (after housing, food and utilities), and more than 1 in 5 families in Toronto cannot afford them. This lack of access has far-reaching consequences:

Collaborating with 13 trusted charitable partners to deliver diapers directly to families, alongside comprehensive programs that support families in thriving, result in happier, healthier babies and children, and improved financial stability for parents and caregivers, enabling them to pursue education and employment opportunities.
