Join us for the fourth annual Dog Jog at McAlpine Creek Park!
Whether you have a furry friend or not, Charlotte’s Dog Jog offers something for everyone. Choose between a 5K run on one of the most famous cross country courses in the Southeastern United States or a one-mile walk/jog. Both events are suitable for all ages and fitness levels!

Event Highlights
- A Famous Cross-Country Course: Test your speed on the Larry McAfee Course At McAlpine Park, ideal for both competitive runners and casual joggers.
- Adoptable Dogs On-Site: Looking to add a new member to your family? Meet lovable pups ready to find their forever homes.
- Delicious Treats: Enjoy a morning filled with coffee and doughnuts to fuel your jog or walk.
- Prize Purse: The top three finishers in the 5K race—both in the dog and no-dog categories—will win cash prizes! First place receives $125, second place $75, and third place $50.
- Community Fun: Connect with fellow dog lovers, as well as local organizations and businesses in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
- A Special Gift to the First 200 Registrants: The Soggy Doggy grooming spa is offering a FREE grooming service to the first 200 registrants!
This Year's Race Shirt
Register by March 16, 2025 to guarantee a race shirt! Featuring this year's bold slogan, “Run Like a Dog,” on the front and event branding on the back, this custom-designed shirt is the perfect way to celebrate your participation. Lightweight, durable, and full of personality, it’s ideal for running, walking, or everyday wear!
Packet Pickup Schedule
To avoid stressing on race morning, we recommend planning to pick up your race packet before the event on one of the days below. Your race packet will contain your and your pup's race numbers, which are required to participate.
