What is the Run for Life?
Run for Life is an event for anyone with lived experience of suicide and those passionate about suicide prevention. Participants are invited to join CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention on a journey from darkness into light by completing any physical activity from September 6 - 13, 2025.

Did CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention combine?
Centre for Suicide Prevention and Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division officially combined in September 2024 as one organization delivering community mental health services and suicide prevention education throughout the province.

How will I get my race kit?
Your race kit will be ready in August 2025.
Calgary participants may pick up their race kit at our offices on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025 and/or Friday, Aug. 29 2025.
Our offices are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Participants outside of Calgary will have their race kits mailed to them.
When can I pick up my race kit?
You can pick up your race kit at CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention's office on either Thursday, Aug. 28th, 2025 or Friday, Aug. 29, 2025.
Our office is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
You can also pick up your race kit at the Calgary Run for Life Pop-Up event on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at Edworthy Park.
When is the last day I can order a Race Kit?
The last day to order your Race Kit is midnight on Monday, Aug. 25th.
For participants outside of Calgary, please allow for 2-7 days of delivery within Canada and longer for overseas delivery.
Where will I be able to pick up my race kit?
You can pick up your race kit at CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention's offices:
Kahanoff Centre 105 12 Ave SE Calgary, AB T2G 1A1 on either Thursday, Aug. 28th, 2025 or Friday, Aug. 29, 2025.

When I register, do I automatically receive a race kit?
No, you will need to add your race kit to your order when you register.
How can I submit a photo of a loved one for the memorial video?
If you’ve lost a loved one to suicide, send their name and photo to runforlife@suicideinfo.ca or when you register by Saturday, Aug. 23 so we can commemorate them in an event video.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm MT
Join us once again this year on the closing day of Run for Life at our new Run for Life location in Edworthy Park. This is a pop-up gathering spot to connect with other Run for Life participants for walking, running, commemoration and conversation. Bring your furry team members for a tasty dog treat, too! Everyone is welcome!
Volunteer Run Captains will host casual 5 KM and 10 KM route (meet-up stations beginning from the Welcome Tent). Enjoy complimentary water and post-run snacks.
At 11:00 am, we’ll host a 1 KM memorial walk starting from the Welcome Tent near the Edworthy Park North Lot.
Various communities and workplaces are also hosting their own Run for Life events across Canada.
