Ascend Leadership Through Athletics

Ascend Leadership Through Athletics is an international nonprofit empowering young women through leadership training, physical fitness, and community service. Founded in 2015, Ascend operates in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the United States, fostering resilience, confidence, and social impact among women aged 15-24. The program combines experiential outdoor education with training in psychosocial wellbeing, health, and environmental stewardship, equipping participants with the skills to become leaders in their communities.

Ascend believes that empowered women drive systemic change, improving family health, community prosperity, and societal peace. Through its innovative approach, Ascend not only transforms individual lives but also inspires broader cultural shifts toward gender equality and inclusion.
