Empower

Donate to Empower

Empower is a nonprofit on a mission to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind them they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on- one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach them that loss is survivable.

Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up.

Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.  For more information, or to become a Mentor or enroll a child, please visit www.weareempower.org.

Thank you so much for your support!
