Honoring Valeria – Supporting the Valeria Foundation

The Valeria Foundation was created to honor Valeria, a little girl who left us far too soon at just three years old. Valeria was born with an ultra-rare, non-inherited genetic mutation on the KCNT1 gene, a condition that affects many young children with de novo mutations, leading to some of the most devastating diseases.

We refuse to accept that these children must suffer without hope. That is why we are committed to pioneering research and innovative treatments for rare diseases.

We were among the first organizations to enable an individualized therapy—in collaboration with Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School—paving the way for groundbreaking treatments that offer real hope. While we continue to work closely with our long-standing partners, we have now expanded our mission by collaborating with Yale School of Medicine to develop better disease models that will enable more effective and personalized therapies for children with ultra-rare diseases.

Our mission is Valeria’s dream—to find a cure for the poor little humans suffering from these terrible diseases.
