Centraide's mission is to support a vast network of local community agencies in order to fight poverty, exclusion, and social inequality. Thanks to its understanding of social issues, the organization collects and redistributes funds in a structured manner based on the varied, complex, and growing needs on the ground. Centraide also promotes mutual aid and solidarity, and encourages citizen mobilization so that the entire community can thrive.

By giving to Centraide, you are helping to build more inclusive communities, free from poverty, and improving the living conditions of thousands of people.

The funds collected will go to the Centraide in your region. Here are a few examples of the impact of your donations:

  • A $10 donation allows an agency specialized in domestic violence, and supported by Centraide, to reimburse the travel expenses of a woman coming to meet with a caseworker.

  • A $20 donation allows an agency supported by Centraide to provide simplified information, in person or by phone, to an unemployed person.

  • A $50 donation allows an agency supported by Centraide to provide accelerated access to a health insurance card for five (5) people experiencing homelessness.

  • A $100 donation allows a single mother to receive emergency assistance (food, hygiene products, etc.) from an agency supported by Centraide, giving her a little breathing room during a difficult time.

  • A $260 donation allows an agency supported by Centraide to help a person keep their housing and avoid ending up on the street.

  • A $500 donation allows an agency supported by Centraide to renew its educational games and activity materials to meet the needs of its clients with disabilities.
