Canterbury Duathlon Series 24th May, 7th June and 21st June 2026 The Canterbury Duathlon Series is to be held at the new venue of Rhodes Park Reserve/Tai Tapu Domain in 2026. About
The distances are all achievable with the run/walk at Rhodes Park Reserve/ Tai Tapu Park, while the bike ride is out and back . No hills and very little traffic makes this such an appealing event. We reiterate that the long course is not to be walked because of time restraints of all competitors, any competitor wanting to walk the event should enter the short course.
The distances are run/walk on a mix of surfaces, grass and seal formed pathways. The first run/walk takes participants around Rhodes Park Reserve and along the Halswell River walkway and back. The bike ride is a 12.5km out and back course, with 1 lap for the short course and 2 laps for the long course. The last run/walk is an easy 2.5km for the long course and 1.5 km around the playing fields for the short course.
This is a great spectator course for husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend or any other friend to come along and watch.
This event caters for everyone: Young, Old, Male, Female, Big, Small, Fast or Slow. We also have family sections.
There are two courses to choose from:

2.5km Run/Walk :: 12.5km Bike :: 1.5km Run/Walk
Long Course:
5km Run :: 25km Bike :: 2.5km Run

Prize Giving will be approximately 15 minutes after the last competitor - approximately 12 noon. Prize giving will be at the start/finish line. We have some fantastic spot prizes again this year.
