Join the action and help create an unforgettable experience for racers while supporting trail conservation. As a volunteer, you’ll experience the excitement up close and play a vital role in making it happen. From cheering at checkpoints, assisting with timing, logistics and promotion to maintaining the trail in the lead up to the race - there’s a role for every skill set.

• Checkpoint Captain -Primary point of contact for a checkpoint. This is a leadership role that ensures their checkpoint runs smoothly, safely, and on time. Role involves recruiting, training and assigning duties to "Checkpoint Volunteers," managing signage along route, event set up, racer check-ins and racer timing.
  
  
• Checkpoint Volunteer- Assists at checkpoint on race day (June 13, 2026) and contributes to positive and celebratory atmosphere with racers, supporters and other volunteers.
  
  
• Adventure Relay Storyteller- Assists at checkpoint on race day (June 13, 2026)by creating content and capturing highlights of the race through pictures/videos, and also amplifies the promotion of the event in the weeks prior to race day.
  
  
• Trail Maintenance Team- Assists with trail maintenance along the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail in weeks prior to race day.This role includes assisting with clearing branches and undergrowth from the trails, refreshing blazes and signage, and improving the quality and safety along the route for racers.
  
  
• Fundraising Team- Assists with approaching businesses to sponsor the Adventure Relay in months prior to race day. This role will involve calling or emailing potential sponsors within the community, explaining ORTA's mission andt he Adventure Relay Race, and encouraging support for the race as event sponsors and charitable donors.
