I’m running this October as part of Le Marathon Beneva de Montréal alongside colleagues and students, and we’re doing it for a cause that truly matters. 

Thanks to things like vaccines and improved sanitation, people today are living longer, healthier lives. But we’re still facing serious challenges—like new pandemics, antibiotic resistance, and diseases linked to how our immune system interacts with microbes.

That’s where McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity comes in. They bring together researchers from different fields to work on innovative solutions to these global health issues. Their work helps launch new research, support collaboration, and make big scientific breakthroughs possible.
