Help Elspeth raise money

I am participating in the 5K to help raise awareness of the effects preeclampsia has on women’s health. Over 70,000 pregnant people and 500,000 babies die each year due to preeclampsia, but its effects don’t stop there. It is estimated that millions of people worldwide are living with chronic health complications due to preeclampsia. All these women are living with conditions such as chronic high blood pressure, kidney disease, stroke and heart disease. On top of this, their babies will live the rest of their lives with an increased risk of diabetes, chronic high blood pressure and neurodevelopmental disorders. Your support of our lab directly funds life-saving research, so that one day, we can prevent preeclampsia from claiming any more lives.
