We are running to Stand for Science! Unfortunately, funding for the biological sciences has become a political game and we are standing up for the ideal that science needs to prevail to sustain the health of our communities, friends and families. Directly, all funds that are raised through this initiative will be donated to McGIll's Microbiome Center - a research unit focused on understanding how the billions of microbes resident in our bodies can be leveraged to improve health and mitigate disease. We have active projects looking at inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal injury, infection, and even the role of diet in lifelong metabolic defects.
