Mon histoire…
As a nurse, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many patients living with various types of cancer. I’ve witnessed the life‑changing impact of their diagnoses, major surgeries, drastic lifestyle changes, the loss of independence, and, far too often, the loss of life. These experiences have reminded me how fortunate I am to be able to move my body freely. Running my first half marathon is a way for me to honour the strength of the patients I’ve cared for, express my gratitude for my own health, and make a small but meaningful difference in supporting the treatment and care of those facing cancer.
