Last September, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 31 years old. Hearing the word “cancer” is something you can never truly prepare for. The moment I received the diagnosis, everything went black. Fear, uncertainty, & countless questions My journey, however, is only part of the reason I am participating in this 5km run for breast cancer. Last year, my mom was also diagnosed with breast cancer. She faced an incredibly challenging road that included chemotherapy and multiple other treatments. Watching her strength, courage, & determination throughout her battle has been inspiring. By participating in this run, I hope to raise funds to support research, treatment, and resources for those affected by breast cancer. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps make a difference & brings us one step closer to a future where fewer families have to hear the words, “You have cancer.” Thank you for your support, Together, we can help create hope for those currently fighting this battle!
