This is it! One more week. Your bib number is |*BIB_NUMBER*| – that makes it real. Anyone who signed up in the last few days will not have a bib yet, so if you or anyone is panicking, hold your horses!

Right now it looks like mild weather for the race, but you will not really know until you get there... and then it can still change. The bugs are in Grande Cache this summer, so be prepared to make friends with the mosquitos or bring some repellent. There has been some smoke in the area from northern fires, but not so bad that we would stop. Note that if there is really bad smoke on race day, we will evaluate based on provincial recommendations.

I have been a bit behind on getting the GPX files on the website updated, but it is good to go now!

Leg 1 has changed to match the image below. It's a wee bit longer, but it gets you off the road faster.

CP410 (ultra/relay leg 4) is being removed. Wait! Do not panic. We have had three close checkpoints on leg 4 (406, 410, 416). In reality, 410 had some supplies, but 416 consisted of a couple of brave volunteers pointing runners to go up the Spine to get their coin. They are also just a few hundred meters apart. So we are going to amalgamate the stuff from CP410 into CP416. More stuff up top where you need it.

In case you missed it, the coin is on the Spine, just past CP416, instead of in your race bag.

EXPO AND PRE-RACE

Make sure to give yourself a little time to come to the pre-race expo on Friday. Lots to see and buy. ;)

The pre-race meeting will be recorded and added to our Facebook group. Unfortunately, we have found that the internet is not stable enough to do a live stream.

LEG 2 SHUTTLE – RELAY AND SPECTATORS

We going to keep repeating this. TA200 (end of leg 1 / start of leg 2) gets extremely congested. DO NOT go there unless you have to. You WILL be turned away this year. Leg 2 Relay runners should take the shuttle bus to the TA. We will keep parking open for support crews only. Spectators will not be allowed onto the access road at all. Everyone is welcome to take the bus. The buses will run in rotation for the first four hours, and we do not leave anyone behind!

Buses start just west of the Start/Finish area, in front of Holy Cross Catholic Church, go to TA200, then run right back to the same spot.

Support crews can forgo worrying about parking if they hop on board and get delivered right to the site.
